DTU Chemical Engineering’s main activities lie within the areas of product design, process design and production in the chemical, biotechnological, pharmaceutical, food technological and energy technological industries.

In close collaboration with industry across courses, student projects and projects with employees we systemically develop tools and methods for technology implementation and hands-on transfer of technology and engineering skills through products and solutions. DTU Chemical Engineering is an active partner in several bachelor of science and bachelor of engineering educations and is heading the MSc educations in Chemical & Biochemical Engineering and Advanced & Applied Chemistry. We have about 120 Ph.D.-students, working on modeling and from small to large scale in our well-equipped labs. Innovation: DTU collaborates with a vast number of businesses in educating of PhD students.

The master degree should be in chemical engineering, preferably with a specialization in polymer synthesis and/or coating formulation. In addition, the grade average (Danish grading scale, see DTU homepage) of the master degree should be at least 8 and preferably higher. The master thesis grade should be at least 10.
